Filing a Claim for Camp Lejeune

The Senate passed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act in 2022, making it possible for those who lived and worked on Marine Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to file a claim for medical conditions caused by drinking the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune.

To find out if you or a loved one is eligible to file a claim, please read the following requirements:

  1. You served at Camp Lejeune or MCAS New River for at least 30 cumulative days between August 1, 1953 and December 31, 1987 and
  2. You didn’t receive a dishonorable discharge when you separated from the military, and
  3. You’ve received a presumptive diagnosis of a medical condition, including:

  • Fatty liver disease (Hepatic steatosis)
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Renal toxicity
  • Neurobehavioral effects
  • Scleroderma
